Montclair Pain Relief Center

Montclair Pain Relief Center is the private practice of Margaret Mills LMT, CNMT, CSP, NCBTMB. Margaret began her bodywork training in 1982 and has been working with soft tissue pain syndromes and injuries since 1985.

She has spent her career helping people free themselves from pain, by rehabilitating the soft tissue (muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia) through the use of various manual therapy techniques and by teaching people how to aid themselves in their own recovery process.

For seven years she worked on the Sports Science and Medicine Department of the WTA TOUR, the Women's Tennis Association, traveling nationally and internationally treating injuries for the professional tennis players. Wimbledon, the U.S. Open, the Australian and French Open are but a few of the fifty tournaments worldwide for which she has provided her services.

She also worked as an associate in private clinical practice with Paul St. John, one of the originators of Neuromuscular Therapy. While living overseas in Asia, she worked for six years in private clinical practice at the Discovery Bay Medical Centre in Hong Kong and as an associate at Bryne & Hickman Physiotherapy and Sports Injuries Clinic. While in Hong Kong she was an instructor for St. John's NMT Certification seminars.

Margaret is a Professional Structural Integrator, having been trained in the work of Ida Rolf's Structural Integration method at the SOMA Institute of Neuromuscular Integration in 1985, and also holds certifications in Neuromuscular Therapy - St John Method, and  in Shiatsu, the Ohashi method. She is nationally certified, and is a member of the ABMP, and IASI. (International Association of Structural Integrators.) She has done additional coursework in Active Isolated Stretching - Mattes Method, Craniosacral Therapy (Upledger), Visceral Manipulation (Barral Institute), Biomechanical Structural Integration (Liz Gaggini), Rubenfeld Synergy Method, Pilates Method of Exercise, and the Laban Institue of Movement Studies. Margaret is continually adding to her knowledge base by attending numerous continuing education seminars and workshops annually.

Margaret often works in tandem with the doctors at Imbrogno Chiropractic & Healing Arts Center and their patients. Restoring the integrity of the soft tissue enhances the structural chiropractic adjustments. Together these therapies profoundly affect the balance of the musculoskeletal system and the overall health and well being of the patient.
